WIP - American Daredevil - Johnny Faith
Here is the beginning of my new indie game effort in AC3D;
American Daredevil - Johnny Faith. You will assume the career of Johnny Faith from his humble beginnings, achieving fame and fortune, if you can survive the jumps that you will face. Here is the ultimate jump cycle, the Harley-Davidson XR-750. Visit http://www.americandaredevil.net for development news. The Johnny Faith logo and emblem are trademarks of Russell B. Davis |

hey Very Cool Harley-Davidson XR-750
i am certified import motorcycle tech by trade now but years back i had the opportunity to work some with these bikes. the shop back then we supported Rich King in his flight to the top. it was very good times. ahh the memories can't wait to see how your game comes along. good luck to you!

Thanks Dew,
I am hoping to create a very respectful simulator to honor the sport of ramp-to-ramp jumping. This is one genre that has not been covered well by any game that I know of. i would love to see a rendered version when it is finished, also i dont know how good you are at programing (if you have the ability to make the game engine for your simulator or not) but i would recommend blender 3d, its got a pretty decent game engine for basicish car games and it might work well for what your planing, plus its free

cycras,
I wasn't aware that blender 3d was also a game engine. My plan is to use DarkBASIC Professional for the coding. But thanks, I'll take a look at that. |

Re: WIP - American Daredevil - Johnny Faith
yer, turning can look a bit dodgy at low speeds, ( or maybe they guy who made the 1 i watched didn't fully complete or did a bad job at programing physics) but since your doing jumping you probably wont be doing to much turning as you would be doing straight line jumping

Here is a psuedo-promo shot. This was captured from the Dark Basic Professional screen.
I just threw a few items together to get a feel for how its going to look. So, this is very rudimentary. American Daredevil - Johnny Faith The Johnny Faith logo and emblem are trademarks of Russell B. Davis Last edited by russellbdavis; 20th May 2008 at 06:10 PM. Reason: added a signature |

Re: WIP - American Daredevil - Johnny Faith
Nice job, but the background cars almost look nicer than the motorcycle itself... Just wondering why because this is a bike jump game.. :-D But other than that good work!
