convert vertices into a line?
Is it possible to convert a series of vertices into a line?
I'm trying to do an 'Extrude along path' along the outside surface of a cylinder. A Knife operation gives me a row of vertices along the path I want the extrusion to follow, but the tool won't work with that. (OT) Here's a model I made recently in AC3D: |

Re: convert vertices into a line?
Off the top of my head: The path object must be a single line object, so copy your vertexes and paste them as a new object, then select them in order and make a single, new face. Change its type to poly-line

Yes! That worked. Thanks!
I had to hunt around for 'make a new face'; the function is Vertex->create convex surface |

No worries, I just thought I'd mention it here for future reference.
