getting jagged, how to fight that?
Hello,
Started from SL-sphere, made my object, looks perfect in AC3D, exported to SecondLife and in the spot i marked with the red line - there is a jagged edge. So far - smoothing didn't help (since it makes my object look too round (no well defined edges) - quiet not the way i want it to be). First picture - model in AC3D, second - exported to SecondLife. I cannot find a way to solve this issue, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Last edited by proximulator; 25th July 2008 at 03:28 PM. |

Re: getting jagged, how to fight that?
Looks like it needs the polys made into triangles, or to divide the surface and reshape the edge.

Re: getting jagged, how to fight that?
Could you be more specific on actions which should be taken? This is my first day in AC3D .. would much appreciate if you could give some guidelines on your suggested ideas (where to find what, how it is done etc). Thanks!

Re: getting jagged, how to fight that?
Are you committing subdivisions? If you do not do this, AC3D will draw the subdivisions but not save the subdivided version of the model.
