Hi,
i am currently evaluating ac3d. I am going to use it mostly to create direct x (.x) model files. i have created a simple model and then exported it as .x however, i cannot get it loaded into the Z3D XModel Viewer. It just wont display anything. Any suggestions ? The AC3d model file: http://www.ready3.net/test.ac The exported .x file: http://www.ready3.net/test9.x Thanks. |

I don't know about the Z3D XModel Viewer, but does it work in the Microsoft .x model viewer (DXViewer.exe)? That might tell you if it's the file or the viewer.

Do you know of a place to get the dxviewer.exe without having to download/install the full directx sdk ? Thanks. |

I think the SDK is the only way to get it, but you can try Microsoft's site and see if they have a stand-alone version.
The SDK is totally worth the download though even if you don't plan to do any coding. There are a lot of other nice tools in there besides the model viewer, like a shader editor and graphics diagnostics, and it's all free. |
