Creating the airplane drawing shown in User Manual
I recently bought AC3D and am trying to learn how it works. I have been trying to reproduce the airplane drawing shown in the User's Manual, but the results of Object -->Subdivide don't produce the same result as shown in the manual. In the manual, the wing tips stay relatively squared off, but when I try this, they either come out pointed (when wing was made from box) or very rounded off (when wing was made by extrusion). Can anyone tell me how it was done in the manual?

Can you post a picture?
Check that all surfaces face outwards. You can do this by pressing n and checking you can see all the normals lines. Also, you can set all surfaces to one sided - if you get holes, you'll need to flip thouse surfaces (surface->flip-normal). Andy |

Posting a picture
Andy,
As near as I can tell, I can't post a picture because I don't have a Web site where I can post it. Is there some other way for me to get a picture to you? I put together a .gif image illustrating the problem that I am having using just the wing portion of the aircraft formed using a box and another one formed using extrusion. Thanks, |
