Its been a long time...
But here is my latest image after a break from raytracing/modelling for about a year! The scene depicts a couple of shuttle craft operating in the asteroid belt, based around the 'Terran Trade Authority Handbooks' background.
Full text for the image can be found at:- http://www.digitalwaterfalls.co.uk/es8.html The shuttles were modeled in AC3D 6.4 with textures applied. They were then exported in wavefront OBJ format and imported to DAZ Bryce 6.1, along with the asteriods. The whole image took 17 & 1/2 hours to render, mainly due to the volumetric light source in the background. The only post-processing that has took place is by adding a couple of engine exhaust 'glows' on the left-hand shuttle. Comments/feedback appreciated... Cheers, g7sta.

Pretty spiffy.
Do they know pirates lie in wait just behind those asteroids? Volumetric lighting certainly adds something. I've had Bryce on my machine for four years, one of these days I'll have to learn how to use it. |
