Going Stir Crazy
Hi All can someone please help me.
I want to make a skin map to copy to a paint programme for painting. Lets say it is a car, I know that I have to map each side individually I click on Surface select-mode and place the rectangle around the front of the car, I then open up the TCE and the front of the car has been mapped great, but now I want to keep the front car map and add all of the other sides of the car, but every time I map a new side it replaces the front mapped object, I cannot get more than one side to appear in the TCE at a time so I cannot copy the skin profile with all sides mapped. What am I doing wrong, I have the latest 14 day demo version 6.1 I have spent most of today looking for tutorials or forum hints on this matter to no avail. Many Thanks |

Re: Going Stir Crazy
In surface mode, just select all the surfaces (ctrl + a).
Or eventually in object mode, select your object. Then you should see all your mapping in the TCE.

Re: Going Stir Crazy
Hi Luuckyy,
Thank you for your prompt reply, I put it in surface mode, just select all the surfaces (ctrl + a).and activated the TCE, but can still only see one side of the car.ac. If I use the Remap button Front, Left,Top in the TCE you can see the other four sides, but not as separate maps. Should I have grouped each side of the car ?. Thanks |

Re: Going Stir Crazy
From what I'm understanding, try that :
In surface mode, select the front side of your car, press F10, put what you see in the TCE aside (but still in the 'mapping square'). Do the same for all the sides of your car. Then select all your surfaces, and finally in the TCE you should see all the car's sides.

Re: Going Stir Crazy
Hi Luuckky,
Thank you for your help, I worked out what I was doing wrong, when I was selecting the faces but I did not hold down the SHIFT Key while I was selecting the face, therefore I was selecting all of the faces, thus confusing the TCE. Cheers Ozzie |
