Importing Vectors into AC3D
Hello All,
I am trying to import some vectors into AC3D. With no luck. I tried to import a illustrator file (.ai) with no luck. (AC3D does'nt accept that format) In the manual, it says it can be done.. How do I import a vector file? Anyone know. thanks, Grease |

Re: Importing Vectors into AC3D
I export vectors from Corel Draw into AC3D by exporting them from Corel as a 2-dimensional DXF, which works very well. For Corel clip-art files, exporting as a TTF and then importing into AC3D with the text tool also works nicely.
Illustrator exports at least TTF, I'm pretty sure? |

Lisa,
What version of Corel-draw do you own? I have version 11. Let me know. In my version there is no choice for a 2D .dxf. thanks, Grease |

Re: Importing Vectors into AC3D
I have version 12... but I could have sworn the DXF support has been around for several versions. You might need to dig out your CD to add it. A lot of the more exotic export filters aren't installed by default.
Oh, and I think you can only get to it from the "Export" menu; whereas I know a lot of the other filters work from "Save As" also. |
