WIP: USS Monitor
USS Monitor (1862) being modelled with AC3D. I still have to add details but the ship is already quite recognizable.

Re: WIP: USS Monitor
Well, it's done ,folks. Here you are.
In Egypt, they are using donkeys to show the scale of objects. Here, I'm using myself (not much smarter than a donkey) and so the guy in front of the turret is me. For the record, I'm five feet and eleven inches high. I'm posting a video on my site. As soon as it's done, I'll let you know. Cheers, Thierry |

Done also, folks.
If you want to have a look at the video, the procedure is as follows: - Visit my site at www.tvi-sarl.com. - Click on the Anglo-American flag in the upper frame to get to the English-speaking part of the site. - Click on the "Downloads" link in the left frame. That's it! Thierry |

Re: WIP: USS Monitor
Thank you for your comment.
This is a model of a real ship, USS "Monitor", launched in 1862. She was the first armored ship to have her heavy guns mounted in a turret and to use them in battle. It was at Hampton Roads in 1862, a few weks after her launch, and her opponent was the CSS "Virginia", also known as "Merrimac". Thierry |
