Speeding Ticket Coin-Op
Thought you might enjoy some images of our game. Most--if not all--of the models were done in AC3D.
Enjoy! -Lisa Last edited by lisa; 27th June 2006 at 05:12 PM. |

Re: Speeding Ticket Coin-Op
*Very* neat --- I'm a pushover for the cartoon style, though. Nice to see AC3D being used for a variety of projects...

Yes, are you using openGL or something else? It looks very fun with a jovial and bouncy atmosphere!

Re: Speeding Ticket Coin-Op
Thanks! The 3D engine is something we developed in-house; the engine is cross platform and designed to work with several different rendering APIs, with the idea that the game shouldn't care what hardware it's running on so that we don't spend so much time writing ports. In the case of the images shown it's using DirectX as the renderer.
We're really happy with how the game came out. It may not be clear from the pictures, but Speeding Ticket is a "redemption game" ...for those not familiar with the term, that means the machine gives out prize tickets, like skeeball or any of the other kiddie games at places like Chuck E. Cheese. Every time your police car catches a ticket, the machine vends a ticket. It's a lot of fun. |
