Fokker DR.I for RS (Flight Gear)
I've been working up a new model for RS, and one of my colleagues is building the FM.
She come sin at 118,000 polys, with the engine taking 28,000 alone. So no featherweight, compared to the old model or 5,500 in total. I've still some cockpit detail to do, so should hit 120,000 polys all up. Ugh, biggest I done yet for a flight Sim.

Very nice. How many polys can Flight Gear take before it gets to big?

Re: Fokker DR.I for RS (Flight Gear)
That is a good question, I've heard that 200,000 poly is high, however it has much more to do with your PC/laptop running the game then the models.
I've yet to see this model in game, but have see another model roughly the same count with a good result. I have a low poly model for LOD, which is around 4000, so this will take care of the distance models.
