Extrude By Normal Bug

When using the Extrude by Normal function, in the extrude commands area, you must have the Cap End optioned enabled. With the Cap End function disabled the surfaces extrude at an angle, and not in the direction of the normal.

To verify;

Make a simple quad in any plane,
Use the Extrude By Normal function in the extrude menu with Cap End enabled,
Observe the aligned extrusion matching the distance specified,
Undo, and extrude again with the Cap End option disabled,
Observe the extruded surfaces at an odd angle, and matching the distance specified.

Win 7 64bit.

Can anyone confirm they see the same please?
