New version of AC3D
Just downloaded the latest version of AC3D - seems to be a significant improvement over version 4 ... which did not thrill me
Feaures which I like : The texture mapper is much better Extrude edges is nice Still problems : The boolean operations still don't seem to work well. Cutting a circular hole in a box using them results in approximately 6x the number of vertices and surfaces as compared to the create convex surface trick. And new bug ??? : Extruding a surface setting sections to a number >1 still results in only one section griff |

Note for Andy: it would be nice if it would work both ways.

likes it
Ok, I,m hooked on 5, like it a lot.
Simple ideas are often the best. In each view window, could the view be changed to its opposite style, ie left to right, top to bottom just by clicking on the text in the top left hand corner of the view, ie, turn it into a switch?? Nah, thats getting too much huh!, well, just an idea <grin> |
