Need help getting started on street of stores
I just downloaded this software tonight. I need help already
I need to create a home page for my website. I KNOW what I want it to look like in my head, but of course, don't have the skills to pull it out of there onto the screen. I just paid someone $25 to create what I wanted and she didn't even come close even AFTER showing her pictures. Can someone get me started building a few buildings? Is there a thread for finding someone to build it for me if I can't? Thanks! |

Re: Need help getting started on street of stores
Start with a cube, texture it plainly too look like the FIRST building you want to try modeling.
Build several buildings and then bring them all together as a street scene. Just flat buildings with texture at first, nothing more. Then one by one go into more detail with a building at a time. Replace your cube buildings with the detailed ones. Keep your buildings as seperate files so you can go back in and do more work if needed. Sure enough you will have a street scene. May have to draw it out on paper to keep your plans clear. $25 to model a street scene, sounds like "what can you do in an hour?" Will it look like the latest work of Pixar and all your dreams realized? No, never. Its not a business card. |
