iGame3D's uDeadGame
uDeadGame by iGame3D
We have just finished a two month marathon making a game for a Mac game contest held at http://www.udevgames.com Voting runs March 5th through 12th. A vote for uDeadGame is a vote for AC3D. Couldn't have done it with out his great app, thanks Team Inivis! Downloads here: uDeadGame For Mac System Requirements: Intel Core Duo, Mac OS X 10.4.11 or 10.5.x uDeadGame for Windows System Requirements: Win XP and Vista, openGL drivers for video, openAL support on sound card. Linux users can try Wine, four reports say thats a go! Hardware Requirements: 1GHZ CPU 1GB RAM 128MB VRAM 200MB HD Here's the zombie call to action! When there's no more room in hell, the dead will go to the arcade! uDeadGame is a 3D action horror first person real time strategy adventure. You play as the uncanny intelligence for hordes of hungry living dead. Your goal in the game is to devour all the living on each of the 32 levels. Battle a cast of characters including thugs, prostitutes, office workers, police, military, strangely suited guys, and mad scientists. Revisit good times with surprise guests from previous iGame3D uDevGames entries. Modulate play between aggresive romps of flesh rending horror and strategic stalking to minimise casualities from the unbeatable human karate style, the never ending rain of bullets and those spectacularly lethal grenades. Slip into zombie time slow motion to better target your dinner and enjoy your crushing assaults with a cinematic style. This is a game every zombie in your family will love. What are you waiting for zombies? Get out there and shred some flesh! Feedback is always welcome! Wanted to drop in and ask for help with this, but wanted a playable so you could decide if it was a project you'd like to be involved with. It'd be great to have more characters, scenery and levels. If you are interested in getting your name and creativity in the game, just let me know! Last edited by Ham; 13th March 2009 at 04:05 AM. |

Looks great from the screen shots ham! I was just wondering what program you used to animate or if you were infact the animator. (It just unzipped so I'm gonna go play it now! )

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame
Animations are from Truebones
Bought 2,000 for $99 this summer, money well spent. We have our animation edito...but no UNDO! argh! So I don't monkey with much. Hope you have great time playing. |

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame
When did that CD Come out with Obama bones?
I received a new CD Jan 13, haven't opened it yet...you know why. I'm really sorry I didn't put Truebones in the credits. Feel like a doofus for that. Before we put the game out on download sites I'll be sure to do that. Wish I could have used a ton more animations, but the download size is already insane. Later when we are hosting off sourceforge that shouldn't be so much an issue...for us. :-) Hope you had fun. I know other folks using Truebones blow us away, but those anims were 1000% boost for our game engine! I'm tempted to go out to your studio and do some mocap sessions, looks like crazy fun. |

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame
I think its pretty awesome,
I like the feeling of heading off into blindness, Can you tell me how far the game goes in this version? I like the Slow Mo, Would like to see some of the better zombie Motions like the classic arms up front. and maybee an army mode where theres a thousand zombies. Can you do physical ragdolls with the zombies? Oh and is this game multiplayer? |

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame
32 levels in this version
Basically after the arcade the zombies go back over their tracks, and the victims have been mostly replaced with soldiers and cops. Then you'll reach the first level, and after that it will take you to a new arcade. Then once you've fully backtracked the first 16 levels start all over but the AI is now aggresive, if they have weapons, and come after the zombies with a vengeance. Would have had more original levels but tore most of my levels apart fighting A* path finding issues very early on. By the time that was fixed, it rush to deadline. 3 hours testing the first 7 levels and I know how to win...well I should, but had my head handed to me on a exploding platter a few too many times. Ragdolls should be working. You mean like when they get shot, they are raggy, like shot in the hand, arm swings wildly type of ragdoll? No multiplayer that would be awesome though. Would love to do FPS people vs zombie horde masters! Yeah more animations would be great, but as I said the download size is really high, usually there was a 20meg limit for this contest but I beat that down with my "iGame3D mean-ness". 1,000 of zombies would take some very special programming, we need someone from Pixar or something. Even Left 4 dead only actually has about 23 zombies on screen at a time, they just fade them out when they die and bring them back in from other positions. Later we can add more animations, once this doesn't have to have a direct download link and can be hosted at our sourceforge location. Thanks for playing, and especially for feedback, getting that is like pulling teeth with greasy fingers! Oh some animations are problematic, I have to find some way of recording my tests so I can ask you how to fix those issues. I liked the drunken walk anim for zombies, its nearly perfect, and the old people anims too, and eating....I wanted the zombies to have the eating anim, but the people got it for their idling. Thanks again! Last edited by Ham; 5th March 2009 at 04:26 PM. |

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame
Oh Boy MrBones, you'll get no work done today.
Seriously it will take hours. I'm not even sure the last 16 levels are beatable! But if you get stuck, really bad, don't be afraid to cheat, send me email, I'll reveal how to do that. Those final levels are brutal. Good luck, wish I could watch you play and hear you curse at the humans. :-) So many levels we could make, I wanted a DVD store, a bookshop, a gun shop, zombieMart, and most of all the farm from night of the living dead, and yeah banks would be cool, have the thugs holding it up with cops in a stand off as the zombies come crashing through! woohoo! |
