How to make a better shape?
Hi..!
I'm making a plane for X-plane, and when i model it in AC3D the model is so jagged... is it possible to get it more round-shaped without using more vertices than 9 in the half radius? |

Looks good.
Edit->Select-all and set the surface-type to be "Smooth" (bottom of control panel). Then bring up Tools->object-property-editor (in object mode) and adjust the crease angle to get any sharp edges as desired. Andy |

The control panel is that big area on the left side of the screen where all the tools are. The bottom of that panel should have a "smooth" button on it (so, it's basically at the bottom-left of the AC3D window).

Ahh...!!
Thanks! It's recognizeable :P But x-plane has a limit of the radius ... the limit is at 18 nods(polys) in the radius. and since I'm making the half model, it'll be 9. When i've "smoothed" it, the vertices in the radius are gettin' higher. :? upps.. I'm watching the model, and it doesn't get higher! Sorry! |

you must be setting the subdevision values up instead of the crease value.
make sure the slider your adjusting in the object-propertys reads "Crease" next to it. the other slide is the Subdevision Preview number, this slider will preview your object as subdevided. (adds vertices) |

But It's a problem.
I can only have 9 polys in the radius, and 20 sections! Can I smooth it, without breaking the limit?! thanks.. -a- |
