Northrop F-5 E
Just started this afternoon
Until now I ve only finished the basic shape, lots of details to add... Btw: Is there a proper way to get sharp edges in a subdivided (preview)object? Last edited by little_penguin; 12th May 2007 at 11:44 AM. |

Re: Northrop F-5 E
Cool plane
You preserve edges sharpness by enclosing them with other (new) edges. That also goes for materials boundaries ...

Re: Northrop F-5 E
Very nice work. It looks just as I remember it from when I was in the military. I was stationed on a F-5 skvadron

Re: Northrop F-5 E
Hi all,
thanks for your replies @frimi: I created it by extruding lines, currently it consists of 21 objects: Here is an example (the elevator) for my subdiv troubles Thanks in advance bye olaf |

Re: Northrop F-5 E
One thing you can do is "Commit subdivision", which converts the subdivision in real polygons. After that you can sharpen the edges as you like it.

Re: Northrop F-5 E
Great images!
One way to make a sharp corner with subdivisions is to add extra vertices (Vertex->Insert-Vertex) and reposition them. |
