Hierarchy file
Hi everyone,
Like a lot of others I am new to AC3D with Pixels 3D being my only experience in 3D. This may have been addressed somewhere in the forums but couldn't locate it. AC3D allows the creation of a hierarchy file for model components. Some other programs can read this file while others cannot. Are there any Poser users that have created models with AC3D that use them in Poser and can see the created hierarchy file within Poser? This may wind up being a Poser issue. Just want to make sure that I'm not missing something like file format etc. Last edited by Richard Hebert; 13th October 2007 at 09:42 PM. |

Re: Hierarchy file
The trick to it is to export from AC3D as an obj, then click the "Spawn Props" button in Poser after you import your obj. It's helpful if you use Poser's standard naming convention, because then you don't have to do any setup to get things working with the walk tool, etc.
Here's a complete tutorial. It's for DAZ, but the steps are the same for AC3D except that your groups should already be setup: http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/tutorial/tu...torial?id=1191 |
