Second Life: Animation Editor - BVH
I would like to see support for a built in animation editor for Second Life Avatars and the ability to export the BVH file to upload to Second Life.
Please please.... |

If you are on windows give BVH hacker a try.
Didn't work for me in emulation so I can't tell you how good it is. Last edited by Ham; 29th April 2008 at 12:42 PM. |

BVH Hacker is just a convertor, not for me, hehehehe However, I did try Daz Studio, that work excellent..........I made an organ player animation for a recent product I made at http://shop.onrez.com/item/603621 |

Re: Second Life: Animation Editor - BVH
The problem with DAZ- is that anything you make with it is NOT yours, it is the property of DAZ. What good is it if what you create is NOT yours and you cannot utilize it for your own purposes?

Re: Second Life: Animation Editor - BVH
Investigated it before I found AC3D. Not only could I Not figure out how to use it, but I read the fine print, (started quite a debate on thier forums), and it said that the meshes are the prorety of DAZ. Yes- I agree, what I create is mine. What you create is yours, but if you use DAZ to create it, yu cannot use it for your own purposes, without the chance of being sued by DAZ for prooerty rights violations. Thank God this is so, cuz I continued my search and found AC3D.

Your referring to content such as meshes specific to Daz. However, Second Life is different........I don't use no meshes nor content from Daz, its all pure BVH which DAZ only has permission to use. The character used for animating come from Second Life, not DAZ, so there's no meshes at all...... its just the tool being used for animating. |

you wouldn't have wasted all that writing, hehehe  On the other, AC3D really needs an animation editor. If they support Second Life Sculpts, why not exportation of BVH for Second Life? C'mon now, support for animating for Second Life in AC3D is a must! |
