Re: How do I upload my file into SL?
It looks like you got the standard sculptie apple there, did you apply the sculpt map? You may want to read this tutorial carefully first : http://www.inivis.com/secondlifesculpted.html

Re: How do I upload my file into SL?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a better program than AC3D when it comes to uploading into SL?

You are almost there. Select 'Sculpted' for the Building Block type and then drag your image (that you just uploaded) from your inventory (it will appear in Textures) on to the image area underneath the Building Block dropdown.

Re: How do I upload my file into SL?
I’m only using the trial package and have not purchased it yet. Could that be a factor? I notice that when I open the Object Property Editor, there is nothing in-between “Editing object properties” and the “Close” button. So this makes me wonder if I need to purchase the software to unlock certain features.

Select only a single object in object mode and you will get things in the property window. Also try resizing the property window, it may have got stuck small.
The apple you got is the default shape, so your new texture is not overriding it. After the trial runs out, you will not be able to use the plugins or save files. |
