REQUEST: XYZ Angle display/export and translate
I've been struggling with X-Planes plugin regarding getting the angles from two vertices.
This is a two part request: Part 1: Get the values I've worked out how to get the angles using an Excel spreadsheet, but would like to see this as a plugin. Operation would be, select two vertices, and then view the x,y,z angles made by the vector between the two points compared to x,y,z planes. Also I'd like it to display the centre point of along the vector between the two vertices, this is already available as a staqndard display. Then I'd like the values to be dumped into the clipboard for use in other files, with the format: origin = x,y,z #displays the mid point (pivot point) between the two selected vertices angle XY = n # in degrees to 4 decimal points angle YZ = n # in degrees to 4 decimal points angle XZ = n # in degrees to 4 decimal points Part 2: Move/rotate the object to 0,0,0 on pivot line Having the values of the angles, and knowing the position of the objects pivot point. Have the plugin rotate the object with its pivot point zeroed on each plane and then move the object to 0,0,0, with the pivot point being at 0,0,0 This second part may already be covered in "movetoward.tcl" plugin and the pivottools set.

Re: REQUEST: XYZ Angle display/export and translate
Is this too much or difficult ?
It could be a set of steps.
