Howdy. My immense (hmm?) user-base will be overjoyed to learn that I've updated the OGRE exporter for AC3D to be compatible with the latest version of OGRE.
There are a number of tweaks to this version; The ability to export AC3D models to OGRE's .mesh format is obviously still there, as is the ability to import greyscale heightmap images. But new this release are enhanced material handling options and the ability to import OGRE .mesh files into AC3D. It seems that at least one person has been waiting their entire life for this plugin, so quick, go here and see what all the fuss is about; http://www.ogre3d.org/phpBB2/viewtop...=2867&start=25 Also, for performance and compatibility reasons the exporter will now only use a 32-bit index buffer if it really needs to, i.e. if your mesh (after the exporter has optimised it) contains more than 65,535 vertices. Otherwise, it'll use a 16-bit buffer. If you don't know what that means, don't worry, neither do I. |

We had a request for this plugin for AC3D 5.
The author has updated it to work with AC3D 5 - see http://www.green-eyed-monster.com/xo...s/mydownloads/ |

I'm not sure what you mean.
We were getting mail from people who wanted to use AC3D 5 but only had the Ogre plugin for AC3D 4 - they didn't know it had been updated for AC3D 5.0. Andy |

Since the link above no longer works, those looking for an OGRE exporter for AC3D could try the one provided by Pelican Crossing, which is available here:

We are currently beta testing an Ogre plugin. If you would like to test it and give us feedback, you require a full license to the current release of AC3D for Windows - contact Technical Support www.inivis.com/contact.html

I've had this same issue. I have a full license, but i'm still using ac3d 6.2 only because the ogre exporter wont work with the newer versions.
