Hiding vertices
I'm working a car body and as the project progresses it becomes difficult sorting through the vertices when working in the front or rear view. Ideally I would like to be able to hide the rear half of the car while working on the front, for example. Is there a way to hide part of an object?
Thanks |

Re: Hiding vertices
I don't think you can hide a part of one object. As a workaround you can create front and rear as separate objects, work on the front while hiding the rear and viceversa, and when finished merge the 2 objects togheter

Re: Hiding vertices
Thanks. This works for me. Better to select surfaces rather than vertices when breaking an object apart. Hiding selected surfaces would be a nice plugin to have, though.

Re: Hiding vertices
From my post above the hide surfaces script does allow you to hide any faces (or surfaces).
Once installed you get a small popup that has a hide button. You select your surface and click the hide button. |
