Making a pitwall and fixing a bump ?
re: Making a pitwall?
How do you make a pitwall along a racetrack? The track is not flat but runs uphill. Any ideas? I've made one section, but I can't think how to duplicate it several hundred yards uphill? Last edited by Toronto; 12th July 2010 at 01:17 PM. |

Re: Making a pitwall?
Anyone got a clue how to take a ripple out of a high poly mesh.
This is a corner of a race track. I need to somehow smooth out the ripple (bump). Any ideas? |

Re: Making a pitwall?
try selecting all the vertices and resizing the selection down to zero height. Perhaps also try using vertex->smooth.

I think what you are saying to me is to move all the vertices to the zero ground plane, but since the track runs uphill, if I move all the vertices to ground zero then it will no longer be uphill and will no longer fit back into the rest of the track. ----- I'll try the vertices smooth approach. I did try smoothing the faces but then I get a flat plate like area in the middle of the corner. |
