Why did ac3D change the possible number of decimal places shown?
I sometimes work with models of things that are quite small. I used to be able to set the number of decimal places displayed to 8 places by specifying that in the "Info decimal places" on the "Advanced" tab of the Settings, but now no matter what I set this number to, the display is limited to 3 decimal places. Why did this change? Was this a design change, Andy? |

I don't remember that changing. Have you tried restarting AC3D after setting a new value?

I tried this before because a pop-up message said to do that when I changed the spec, but it didn't help. However, I just tried this again and this time the display of decimal places changed. I'm not sure why it didn't change before, but it looks like there isn't a problem after all.
Sorry for the bother. Thanks for your prompt reply though! |

I just figured out what happened. Earlier, I had tried to set the number of decimal places displayed to 8. After restarting, I found the number of decimal places shown to be 3.
Apparently, the most that you can set the decimal places shown is 7. Any number larger that than causes ac3D to revert to a display of 3 decimal places. A display with 7 decimal places is acceptable. Thanks |
