Newbie Question re Using AC3D to Animate/Export X-Plane Objects
Hello,
Before downloading the trial version of AC3D, I want to get all my ducks in a row so that the two week trial period can be best spent learning if AC3D will work on my computer. My main use of AC3D will be to animate objects that have been developed in SketchUp and that will be exported to X-Plane after the animation is added in AC3D. I've just worked my way through Simmo Won's video tutorial titled Animation for X-Plane Scenery using AC3D. I see that in his tutorial, the main drop-down menus in his version of AC3D include one titled X-Plane. And that an X-Plane option is included among the options for exporting the finished object. Among the dropdown features is a list of X-Plane datarefs. My question is: Do these X-Plane features come bundled with AC3D when it is first downloaded and installed? Or do I have to install a plug-in or do something else to access those features? If so, what do I have to do? As an aside, is the trial version crippled in any way, beyond the two-week time limit? For example, not being able to export what you build, etc.? Thanks for helping a newbie. Bill

Re: Newbie Question re Using AC3D to Animate/Export X-Plane Objects
The X-Plane plugins don't come installed by default, and I'm afraid I don't know how to properly install them (I haven't used X-Plane in many many years). You can probably find a tutorial somewhere though...
As for AC3D, the trial is completely uncrippled for the first fourteen days. |

Thanks.
I just found the answer to my first question. Your response to the second question is very helpful. Bill
