White lines
I think I used to know what is causing this but drawing a blank. Can someone refresh my memory?

Re: White lines
You may have drawn a shape and extruded it. Hence it is seen as a Polyline or Line surface type.
At the interface bottom left, select Poly as the Set Surface type and the line should go away.

Re: White lines
Not a problem.
I began noticing this after I developed a method of creating aircraft wing tips; I stack lines of the rounded shape and create surfaces linking the lines and the rest of the wing/aileron. Even after I combined the poly lines and the wings into one object, and created surfaces around the wing tip edge and the top and bottom.... that white line continued to show (and vex). Somehow, I stumbled on the "fix" one day and was very relieved.

Re: White lines
If you start with a basic shape like a circle or ellipse and extrude it, you end up with two sets of surfaces: The extruded surfaces, and the original circle or ellipse as can be seen in the exploded view in figure 1.
If you select the surface defined by the white line as shown in figure2 and then click on Poly, the white line will disappear in the view straight on, but if you tilt the object as shown in figure 3, you can see that the white line is still there. Instead, select the surface defined by the white line and then press the Delete key to delete it as shown in figure 4. All you wanted was the extruded surfaces that define the shape of the object. Once you have the extruded surfaces, the original circle or ellipse had served its purpose. |

Re: White lines
However, you may need to cap the end of the extruded primitive, in which case it would still be there. Selecting it and turning it into a Poly instead of a line or poly-line will get the (visual) job done.
