Does anyone know the legalitys of using photos of real cars/vehicles on models for commercial useage? If I were to photograph the family car say , would I have the respective car manufacturer contacting me. Jim |

Re: Using Photos of real cars
After browsing the net for a while I came across this site:-
http://www.geo-metricks.com/geo-shop...k-24txcars.htm They seem to be selling models with photographic skins so I suppose it must be legally possible? Jim |

Re: Using Photos of real cars
I know nothing about the legal aspects but I'm sure using your own models would be fine.
Just look at programmes on TV - I bet they don't have to get permission everytime they feature a car in the background. The only way I can see the manufacturer's legal people complaining is if you did something negative with the car. Anyway, if it did attract attention from the manufacturer - just think of the publicity! Andy |
