Re: A simple line won't accept color ???
In Surface mode, line selected, clicking on the "eye" icon shows a gray line even though
a red color was specified. If the line is not selected it still appears as gray. In Object mode with the line selected, clicking on the "eye" icon shows NO color, but with the line not selected, clicking on the "eye" icon shows a gray line. I normally have my background set to white. If I set the background to gray then: In Object mode with the line selected, clicking on the "eye" icon shows a white line, but with the line not selected, clicking on the "eye" icon shows a gray line. Are you sure AC3D is picking up the Intel library and not the nVidia version when it starts?

Re: A simple line won't accept color ???
A peek in the AC3D DOS-box (see attached file: "AC3D statup using just built-in Intel graphics.jpg) indicates that it is using the built-in Intel graphics.
I noticed something else. In AC3D, I created a line-path, labeled it "path", set the color as Red (see attached file: "Red Color identified in Surface Mode.jpg") and then saved the file as test.ac, but if I then open test.ac using Notepad it shows the object "path" as having mat 0, which refers back to the MATERIAL description at the top of the page (see attached file: test file viewed using Notepad.jpg"). So the color is being recorded correctly. But the displayed color comes out gray regardless of what graphics system I am using. If I use object-thicken, the resulting "strip" comes out Red. Re: A simple line won't accept color ???
I can't think what could be happening to cause this problem. Sorry I don't have a solution for this. No one else has reported this and there are a huge variety of systems running the same software. If you get newer graphics card and that fixes it, please let us know.
