Finally some real doors :
I think the modeling of the bus is 99,95 % finished now ... Except if I add an opening mechanism, but I'm not sure about that because I do not have any ref. pics for this part, so the only thing I can do is to guess how it works. I don't even know if the doors open the way I've made them opened on the pictures above ... oh well it must be correct See ya.

I think the door opener are looking something like this on buses, more or less. Now this is a very minimalistic model I just did in 5 min.

You are correct Thor. I've found that new picture and the mechanism is indeed made of 2 identical rods. By rotating they must push/pull the door as you "described" ... It's going to be very interesting to modelize and animate that. Fingers crossed.
