Unhappy Can't select vertices

Hi,

I am new to 3D modelling and I am trying to learn how to use AC3D in order to create objects in Second Life. It looks like I have problems using the software as some things don't seem to work right.

When I want to select vertices I click on the Vertex selection button, then on the vertex I want to edit. When I do it the whole object moves as I move the mouse. It looks like the software doesn't get into vertex selection mode.

I am using Windows Vista and I wonder if there are some incompatibilities with AC3D. I have also noticed a few other anomalies. Is anyone else using the program on Vista? If so, what am I doing wrong?

Never mind, I've found the problem. Indeed, the button doesn't work but the Select Vertices command under the Edit menu does. So, apparently this is a bug.

If you think there is a bug, you should report it but what I think is probably happening is that you are clicking on the selection and moving it. Try clicking 'None' or outside the green selection area to deselect everything.

Yes, you are right, Andy. I did what you suggest and now things are working as expected. Sorry for causing confusion, I am learning.
