Default Where is obj file?

How do I get the x-plane obj file? When I download a plane I get the ACF file but I see no obj file except for the cockpit? Where is the plane's obj file?

Thank You

Default X-Plane object file

rnlobo

Open PlaneMaker in X-Plane.

Open the .ACF file that you downloaded.

On the upper menu bar under Special you will see an option to create an Object file for the aircraft. Click on that selection.

X-Plane will generate an object file and I believe it will place the file in the Main X-Plane folder. (In the same area as the X-Plane executables)

Move or Copy this file to another folder then open AC3d and import the object file.

By the way this is a good way to get the basic scale and body of an aircraft.

I use this method to generate a starting point to build the cockpit object files for aircraft.

Good Luck
