Default Sketchup plugin?

re: Sketchup plugin?

Has anyone developed an import/export plugin, or script, for the sketchup .skp format.

There is a huge number of mesh projects available in the .skp format if they could be imported and exported.

You can export to .3ds from sketchup, then import to AC3D.

Don't use the .3ds file format, as it will mess up the smoothing of your mesh.
There must be alternative ways.

http://www.goneabitbursar.com/ac3d_export.rb

copy the text to a text editor and save as ac3d_export.rb

put the .rb file in your sketchup plugin folder and hey presto!

Developed for conversion for the FlightGear project direct from skp to .ac
