I know it is a simple task for many of you, I am just learning.
I know how to apply a simple texture to an object in Ac3d, but how do I make one of those detailed texture...uh.. maps? You know the .dds? I'm not even sure I am asking the right way.. ugh. I get as far as : "Tools" > Uv Map > "top" radio button> Apply "Tools" > Texture Coordinate Editor > "Max" Then I'm lost. How do I get to the point where I can import the base texture into photoshop? (using Nvidia's texture plugin for PS) I have tried looking through the "how to & tutorials, but it is mostly filled .. well with the wrong kind of posts.. kind of expected to find ..tutorials.. If you can explain this to me as if you were working from a fresh made model, it would help a lot. Also, I really want to do all of this in Ac3d, besides painting the texture of course. I see a lot of , try this program , try that program, and people doing bits and pieces of work in different programs... that is way to confusing and too expensive. |

I will take a look at these threads. However since posting this thread I have found > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8R-i...layer_embedded It was a really big help. It helped me get the very basics I think. |
