you don't need to. just make your plane an .obj file and import that.

right you dont need a plugin to export your aircraft shape from planemaker to object file.
when imported into ac3d this leaves you with a rather unsmooth version of your airplane. so you then need to in ac3d click on "optomise verticies" and then "optomise surfaces", and then make sure "smooth" is clicked, and this will leave you with a shape that looks exactly like it did in xplane. |

I would sooooooooo love to be able to have an x-plane 'toolbar' in ac3d that allowed the user access to what x-plane can deal with, geometry wise, and then write it to an acf file.....
