Default how to divide an object into even sized tiles?

I would like to divide an object (a terrain like mesh) into 32x32 equally sized objects. It could be done by repeatedly use the knife but maybe there is an easier method?

Default Re: how to divide an object into even sized tiles?

As I didn't want to do that manually I fragmented the terrain and created the tiles with a perl script.
The initial model is a rough plan of the virtual world in an MMORPG and looks like that: http://www.world-of-mystery.de/clien...ery&pic=2north
The tiles will be used to work on the details and enable the game client to load the scenes dynamically.
