Default X-Plane 11 Object Import Issues

When I try to load a fuselage from X-Plane 11 (Carenado Aircraft C340A HD II),

It's miss aligning objects. I am using the latest X-Plane 11 Plugin 34B1. However when I export the same file with ModelConverterX I have no issues.

Picture 1 Import into AC3D
Picture 2 ModelConverterX viewing the OBJ
Picture 3 Imported/Exported with AC3D viewed in Substance Painter.

I am using the 14 day trial AC3D mainly to import X-Plane Objects files and export them as one Wavefront file for painting in Substance Painter

Thank you

That's a common issue. If any parts of the obj have default animations, they are not taken into account. I've already reported that here on the forum too (http://www.inivis.com/forum/showpost...1&postcount=39). Surprising to see that ModelConverterX seems to take those into account, I'll experiment with that.

Regards,

Kim

No one ever replied to your post since October? Well so far I have no use for AC3D if It cannot import all objects correctly.

I wonder if the problem is caused by something in the actual animation of the objects that are wrongly positioned?

Perhaps try temporarily removing all animations from a problem object and seeing if that still gets re-positioned.
