Default how to make car parts SL compatible

exactley as the title suggest's i have a nice back ground imagine of a lamborgini

But to be honest i havent a clue where to start cube / sphere / grid ?

(well with that being said this will be when i can actually export something)

The best place to start is the pre-mapped shapes in the library. You can get to them from File > Object Library > Second Life.

You can use these to stretch and place over your car parts.

Also, planar mapping works well depending on the kind of car you are going to build. Start with a square mesh, which like the SL sdhapes is pre-mapped, and then form it to the body panels of your car.
