Bizarre rendering effect
I am working on a waterline model of a WW I destroyer (see attachment).
You will that some surfaces that are part of the forecastle's deck are rendered in black even though they are dark grey and flat (I have checked and re-checked). How come? Thierry P.S: When the hull is exported to VRML 2.0, it is rendered correctly by the VRML browser. |

Re: Bizarre rendering effect
Could be there are more than one vertex in the same space that are causing this. Try to select the vertex in the corner of the surface with select through on. If you get the handles around the vertex its more than one there. if there are just a green square like in the picture try to merge the vertex to see if there are to many. Do this in each corner. It could help and it may not help

Re: Bizarre rendering effect
Also on the bottom, there is a message telling you how many vertices you have selected. This happens to me all the time .... they are not connected. Funny thing is, if I save it then reopen its okay .... (if its same problem.)
