is AC3D multithreaded?
The reason for my question is that I'm upgrading my pc and I can't decide between 1) a Quad core processor or 2) a Dual Core Processor at higher speed.

Re: is AC3D multithreaded?
I'm currently using a dual-core, running Vista 32 bit, if that helps at all. AC3D runs like a charm.

Re: is AC3D multithreaded?
In the mean time I've upgraded and decided to go with a dual core. AC3D is not multithreaded (meaning it only uses 1 cpu core).

Re: is AC3D multithreaded?
Good call, if you ask me. I don't think most software is ready for Quad-Core and the software being written now is being written for 8-Core and up.
Give it a couple years. |

Re: is AC3D multithreaded?
Did any one split the process of AC3D to both cores of the machine for a test yet?
TS from 7.51 does it,may be the AC3D 6.4 does it also. The modeling will be not faster but the animaking will be faster,i think. Peter |
