Question Background Set or Unset?

I think that is or used to be a way to draw the profile of an object from a background image. According to the manual, the Background Image can be set or unset from the Orth menu while displaying an Orth view, but I can't figure how to do this (see attached file). Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Try using the Orth in the individual view

Question Re: Background Set or Unset?

Thanks for your reply. In regard to your suggestion:

I did. The attached image was taken from the "front" view with the display set to display only the "front" view. Does the Orth menu on your system show something about setting or unsetting a background image?

Sorry - look right below there in the view window itself. Camera View etc.

No, Terry... you're looking at the Orth menu for the entire AC3D interface.

Each window (Left, Right, Top, Bottom... but not the 3D view, which has its own version of this) has an Orth "sub-menu" in it. Your screenshot obscures it because of the "overall Orth" dropdown.

Here's an unobscured view...

Have a look at your interface again. Notice that each Orth window has its own submenu, which, with the exception of the 3D window, includes its own Orth. The 3D window has a "3D" dropdown submenu which supports its features.

Thanks, guys!

I knew this at one time, but I haven't used it for a long time and had completely forgotten it.

I've overlooked it (and other features and menu items) myself a time or two, after some time away from modeling, only to discover my mistake later with a big slap of the forehead and a "D'oh!"
