Default General question on AC3D

Hello,

I'm new to AC3D and see it as a way for me to design simple 3D mechanical objects using extrusion and maybe simple boolean operations (I don't know if AC3D supports this) on primitives. So now I have a 3D object, but let's say I want to place this object, or even manipulate it, in relation to another object that I've designed with AC3D. What would I use to place and oriented 3D objects in 3D and then be able to view that collective from different perspectives.

Default Re: General question on AC3D

To position objects next to each other you simply need to watch the different views and select/drag the objects with the left mouse button.

To accurately line up objects you can select a vertex in two objects and then select Vertex->snap-objects-by-vertices. This will pull the objects together so that the vertices are in the same position.

Hope this helps - let us know if you have any specific questions,

Andy

P.S. There will hopefully be boolean plugin for the next release of AC3D.
