Default Loft or Skin equivalent in AC3D?

Hi everyone,

I'm playing around with AC3D in trial mode and working on a ship hull. I've attached a screenshot of two hull stations that I'd like to loft or skin together to create an exterior. I'm just testing with 2 at the moment, but the hull would have about 12 stations total. I can't seem to find a command that would work. I used to do this in older programs years ago by extending one station and pulling points to match the second, but I'd sure like to get away from that tedious method if possible.

Thanks for any help or insights you may have!

Sincerely,

Chris

Make a polygon out of one of the end shapes, select it in surface mode, and extrude; when extruding, fill in the number of segments you want created within the specified extrusion distance. Then, reshape any interim cross-sections as needed to create the shape you want.

Easy way:
- Select both objects.
- Switch to vertex-mode
- select "create convex surface object" (if I remember the right name) in vertex menu.
- hull ready...

Hard way:

- switch to vertext menu
- start:
- select counter clockwise 2 vertices on object 1 and object 2.
- ctrl+shift+s to create surace between them
- go to start:

Thank so much, that worked like a charm! I also played with "create ordered surface" and that works well, too.

I really appreciate your time, Stiglr and Dughor,

Chris
