Default What's your favorite animation software?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. I posted this question in another thread, but I thought I'd start a new one anyway. I can't seem to find an answer.

I'm just curious, is there an animation software package as simple to use as AC3D? I have been banging my head against Maya in school now for several years, and I just can't stand it. AC3D is so much easier to understand and use where modelling is concerned. Is there an animation program that is similarly easy to use?

I've heard good things and bad things about Blender and Bryce, Poser and Carrera... what are your thoughts? What do you like and dislike about these programs? What works well with AC3D? What would you recommend?
