Default AC3D for Mac OS X

I'm interested to hear from Mac users.

Do you think there would be a market for a Mac OS X version of AC3D?

I actually use both Windows and Macintosh and the ability to transfer between both would be very beneficial.

I would definitely use an OS X version, at least as much as Windows.

Native mode (i.e. Cocoa based) would be ideal, although running under Apple's X-Windows kit would be welcome too.

I would buy a mac version tomorrow. I currently use one of the other 3D packages, and am happy with it, but a lot of our players and developers use AC3D, and I would love to be able to help out newbies with it.

Additionally, I would say there would be a very good demand for it from Mac Targetware players. The Mac folks already make up a disproportionate percentage of the Target Rabaul texture and terrain artists, but are held back in the 3D arena because there is no good 3D modeler for games at a reasonable price on the Mac. AC3D has all the features I look for when I evaluate 3D modelers for games, so I would have no problem recommending it to our Mac users.

After we start marketing Targetware (we're in Stealth Mode open beta right now), I'd be happy to run a poll on our forums, see how much interest there is among our mac users.

Keep up the good work!

I definately see a benefit to supporting a mac version of AC3d. This could draw in more people as well as those working on multi-platforms.

Do you know if TCL/Tk requires the X server to be running under Mac OS X?
