Default Further progress (see image)

Just a scene that I'm still playing around with. Just got through adding a rider to the bike. It's been tough trying to find a good jean texture though.

Thanks. It's a lot of work, but I'm having a blast doing it. You've probably noticed that the guy isn't really in proportion, that's because I'm not using any reference photos. I'm just making it up as I go. It's kind of a comical fantasy thing anyway so it doesn't matter.

Right now I'm making kind of a liquid gold substance that he's going to be riding through. I'm working now to create the spash effects and ripples in the water. I have no idea what to add after that.

BTW, that Pov-Ray renderer is one fantastic program. I can't believe it's freeware! I'm still learning how to add includes and modifying the object properties.

Another update. After adding the sky background, the reflections coming off the bike are absolute insane. This jpeg image doesn't do it justice. I may have to tone that down a bit. I have the liquid gold and the splash coming off the tires roughed in. I'll have to further subdivide that and add in some dropplets and splash effects. I was thinking about adding a golden skull half sunk in the gold just for fun.

Nice work! This must be what hell is like - it's so hot, all the gold has liquified I must say though, if I came to a lake of gold I'd try to take some with me, and not just drive through it. 'Cause let's face it, none of us is so rich we'd say no to free gold.

Thanks. I'm using Pov-Ray. I've never used Renderman which a lot of people do, but Pov-Ray is freeware and it's one kick butt renderer.

If you need a link to it just let me know. I'm still learning it myself, but if you need help or tips with it, just ask and I tell you what I know and how I did it. I just wish more people here would submit photos of their work because I love to see what other people are doing. While criusing "other" sites, I'm just blown away at what other people are able to do.
What's great about modeling is that you're not limited by the laws of physics. What ever you could possilbly imagine can be created and made to look like reality, and more importantly.....it's funzies.
