Default Anti-aliased fonts

How can I get nice anti-aliased font in AC3D in Linux? Or is it even possible?

I'm using 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04. I don't remember ever seeing smooth anti-aliased fonts in AC3D in any of the previous Ubuntu releases either.

I have found some instructions for enabling anti-aliased fonts for some other Tcl/Tk based applications, but I can't apply them to AC3D directly..
