Default PLUGIN: Knife

Created a new thread, as this is an important update announcement:

The Knife plugin (available at http://supercoldmilk.com/ac3dplug/knife.html) has been updated. This is an important update that users of the 1.2 version should get.

If you are still using 1.1.2 for whatever reason, this update is not necessary.

Fixes:

# Fixed bug in "cut away surfaces" --- version 1.2 created too many objects in cut aways when multiple objects were cut at once.
# Generates more appropriate warning/error message when Object Select mode is not active when specifying a Knife object.

See all my plugins at http://supercoldmilk.com/ac3dplug/index.html

All,

AJ MacLeod was kind enough to provide an updated compilation of the Knife plugin under Linux, which includes this fix.

All,

A new Alpha version (1.2.2) of the Knife utility is available.

This Alpha version (for AC3D 5.0.21) fixes:

* When the Knife intersects an object on top of an existing vertex, the existing vertex is now added as a slice/cut-away candidate. Before, existing vertices that intersected the knife were not considered for slicing/cutting away.

The latest stable version (1.2.1) is still available at the same site.
