Default 2D/3D Text

Whenever I add Text it is always added to the xy (Front) view.

Is there a way that I can specify which view I would like the Text to "face" me. e.g. I'm building a site plan so a bunch of measurements need to be seen from the TOP.

Default rotation verses selection

rotating is fine if its only one or two text items but when its about 50+ it would be nice to select which view to have the text appear upright.

An alternative is to rotate the whole drawing so the Top perspective is seen from the Front view, enter text and then re-rotate everything back to normal but thats a bit kluggy
