Default Creating sky in 3d scenery

Im trouble trying to create the sky for simple terrain. My 1st thought was to create a sphere which would contain a picture of the sky on the inside and then put my terrain inside the sphere. However, the sky picture will only surround the outside surface of the sphere. Is there anyway of making the texture appear inside it?

Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

Select the sphere and use surface->flip-normals to flip all the surfaces. The default 'sidedness' of a sphere is single sided, so doing this will result in a sphere that is viewable from the 'inside'.
